Using Movement and Play to Foster
Health and Connection
BELONG

Belonging is a fundamental human need and brings with it many health benefits (Allen et al., 2022).
My hope is to create more belonging in the world through shared physical activity experiences. In addition to trying to foster belonging through group classes and events, I am committed to doing advocacy work to make our environment more inclusive and accessible.

PLAY
We all need more play in our lives! The benefits of play extend beyond the fun: it can improve our thinking, language, social and emotional regulation skills (Dhas et al., 2022).

When we add physical activity into our play, that adds even more health benefits! I hope to infuse movement with play and socialization opportunities in all the work that I do. This will include via how the space is set-up (Herrington & Brussoni, 2014).

MOVE
Sometimes 1:1 physiotherapy is beneficial to work directly on specific, meaningful goals (like getting out of bed, getting safe outdoor time, playing with loved ones and managing chronic pain). In these cases, it can be very valuable to assess you in your own environment and provide you with recommendations that are specific to your needs.
